1. Information We Collect

When you use ScenesFromUs, we collect the following types of information to provide and improve our service:

• Account Information: We collect the couple's names, a tagline, your email address, and a securely hashed password.
• Story Content: We collect and store your milestones, chapter names, dates, captions, and any text you provide to build your story.
• Media Files: Photos and videos you upload to create your cinematic memory experience.
• Technical Data: We automatically collect your IP address solely for rate-limiting and security purposes to prevent abuse of our upload and publishing APIs.

2. How We Store Your Data

We use trusted third-party infrastructure to securely store your data:

• Database: All text data (names, captions, dates, email, hashed passwords) is securely stored in Supabase.
• Media Storage: Photos and videos are securely stored on Bunny.net (Global CDN). Because the core function of ScenesFromUs is to share your story with family and friends via a custom link, media files you upload are accessible via a public URL. By uploading media to our platform, you explicitly consent and grant us full permission to collect, host, process, and distribute your pictures and videos on our servers and delivery networks to fulfill this service.

3. Third-Party Services

We do not sell your personal data. We only share necessary data with our infrastructure providers to make the app function:

• Supabase: Used for relational database hosting and authentication.
• Cloudflare & Bunny.net: Used for global content delivery, API routing (Workers), and secure media streaming.
• PayU (India): Used to securely process payments when upgrading to a paid story (currently in testing phase).

4. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your story, media, and account information for as long as your story remains live on ScenesFromUs. If you wish to delete your account, permanently remove your story, and delete all associated media files from our servers, please contact us via DM on Instagram at:

5. Security & Limitations of Liability

We implement industry-standard security measures, including HTTPS encryption for all data in transit, strict rate limiting based on IP addresses, and secure password hashing (SHA-256 with salt) before saving your credentials to the database.

However, no internet transmission is 100% secure. By using ScenesFromUs, you acknowledge that we are not responsible or liable for any unauthorized access, data breaches, or hacks resulting from vulnerabilities beyond our reasonable control, including third-party infrastructure failures. You assume the risk of uploading personal media to the internet.

Important Privacy Warning: We explicitly warn against uploading highly sensitive, intimate, or "risky" revealing photographs to the platform. By choosing to upload such media, you accept full, 100% responsibility for any potential leaks, hacks, or unauthorized distribution. ScenesFromUs is not liable for the exposure or misuse of such content under any circumstances whatsoever.
